This is Coach Bowls‘ first Q&A session, which features involvement from Bowls England’s High Performance Director John Mc Guinness, four-time Commonwealth Games medalist Ellen Falkner, most-capped international John Rednall and Director of Coaching Mal Evans.
It lasts 70 minutes but it has some interesting points to make from the way you warm up through the technique of delivery to how to change your shot, and many more things.
Amy Gowshall has represented England all over the world, winning medals at World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Amy is the next guest on ‘The Extra End’ and discusses her experiences in the sport, whilst combining this with the challenges involved with family life and as a full-time teacher with Bowls International Editor Sian Honnor.

Father and daughter John and Katherine Rednall, who have both represented England at the highest level, are the latest guests on ‘The Extra End’. They discuss their experiences in the sport with Bowls International Editor Sian Honnor.
The Management Committee have taken the decision to allow the re-opening of the Club with restricted access to the bowling facilities from Monday 8th June, from 10:00 to 19:30 each day. No guests or spectators are allowed access and the kitchen and bar will remain closed.
Update [2 July 2020] -From Monday 6th July rinks will be able to be booked for up to 6 players from different households so you will be able to play triples games if you would like to.
In addition, we are looking to operate a competitive for members to join into if they so wish. If you are interested, then please contact Nigel Cloke by Sunday 12th July.
