A message from Derek Olive, Men’s Captain:

Over the past 4 weeks of self isolation I have been hosting social events using ZOOM for other groups that I am involved in and thought that a Virtual Club Night for ODBC would not go amiss!

If you have not used ZOOM before then don’t panic. If you have a PC, Laptop, Tablet or Smart Phone and are able to use a Web Browser with audio and/or video then you will be able to join in. You don’t need to download any software. It is true to say that a hard wired connection may work better but WIFI should be fine!

Look out for the invitation for 7pm on Monday 27th which will be sent out this weekend and just click on the link in the email. You should then enter the meeting. I do need to admit you so please wait a few minutes if necessary. I will open the meeting about 10 minutes early to allow folk to join before 7pm.

We can’t play bowls but if you happen to have a drink to hand we can toast the group and at least say hello and catch up.

We will treat this as a test event as it may be the 1st time for many so be prepared for some delays and issues, but my experience so far with ZOOM has been very good.

If you wish to contact Derek, to test your connection beforehand, please use the ‘Contact’ page of the website. He says that the likelihood is that I will be in!
